Grupo Gispert joins BPV Abogados

Sönke Lund, partner of Grupo Gispert Abogados & Economistas, responsible for the areas of Intellectual Property, Data Law and International Commerce, will participate on 18 November as a speaker at the International Bar Association (IBA) Conference on the topic "Digitalisation of International Trade" in Milan, where new industry and legal trends, from product development to manufacturing, logistics, supply chains and transport, will be discussed.

Sönke Lund will speak about the main legal implications and digital and technological challenges that companies in the supply chain will face after the pandemic, and will moderate a round table discussion on the effects of the "new reality" on food business in relation to the European Commission's "Green Deal" programme. The conference, organised by the IBA International Commerce and Distribution Committee, with the support of several IBA committees, will be attended by 100 professionals from 22 jurisdictions.

Sönke Lund, partner of Grupo Gispert Abogados & Economistas, responsible for the areas of Intellectual Property, Data Law and International Commerce, will participate on 27 October as a speaker at AI ÓPERA IA, CONFERENCE ON THE NEW TECHNOLOGICAL CHALLENGES AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE FIELD OF CONTEMPORARY OPERA CREATION, organised by the cultural institution ÓBNC (Ópera de la Butxaca i Nova Creació), in collaboration with the SGAE (Sociedad General de Autores y Editores) and the AI and Music Festival , which will take place at the SGAE facilities in Barcelona. The conference will focus on the irruption of new technologies in the composition of opera, such as electronics applied to the creation and edition of new music or artificial intelligence. Sönke Lund, member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and its commission of experts for "Data Law", will attend the 10th Joint Seminar GRUR Int./JIPLP, a free conference to discuss "The future of IP in a changing world" that precisely organizes JIPLP and GRUR.

The program has the main representatives of the industry, professionals and academics, as well as two keynote speeches, respectively, Sir Robin Jacob (President of the Intellectual Property Law of Sir Hugh Laddie at UCL) and Ros Lynch (Director of Copyright and IP Compliance in the Intellectual Property Office of the United Kingdom).

The conference recognized the participants discussed key issues in the fields of patents, copyrights, trademarks and application.

Sönke Lund, partner of Grupo Gispert and member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and its commission of experts for “Data Law” participates in the 10th session of GRUR at the Brussels Workshop 2019 with the collaboration of the national group German of the International Literary and Artistic Association (ALAI).

Future challenges for intellectual property and possible solutions will be discussed from a comprehensive perspective, which covers patent law, copyright law, design law, trademark law and enforcement.

The focus will be on certain current problems, as well as future development in these different fields. Future challenges such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and the European Data Economy, Internet of Things and the flexibility of IP application will be discussed.
